No pesky real estate agents required
Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 09:36AM This is what you see when you click on Trulia from the Google results for "Savannah Ga Homes".
It's free—no personal info or agent required
It's comprehensive—listings, comps, stats, trends & advice
It's easy—so you can make sense of it all
Why was it necessary to put "no....agent required"?
If Trulia is really concerned about my ROI they shouldn't put these negative messages about agents on their site prominently displayed when you first click. How about if you add -- (although agents can be very helpful in the process)
How about it Rudy? Help a brother out. You make it look like a good thing that you are agentless. You are propagating the negative perception of agents as being a hindrance and a pain in the ass rather than being a helpful partner trying to help agents improve their ROI.
Run it by your COO, I'm sure he will agree that it's not helpful. He might say that you are merely informing users that that they don't have to have an agent to use your site -- but why would they think that in the first place? You are bringing up something that hasn't even occurred to them to make a point that agents are unnecessary -- that's the way I see it.
I think I will put this across my site:

Nice find Mike
Thankfully i was unable to find other illustrations of this verbiage.

I did a little more research the No agent required tag comes up when one does a google search, but not when you search directly from Trulia!
So even though it is the same url, visitors to trulia via google get the no agent required message and visitors that search directly from Trulia do not...
I will write the text for them if they want to use it:
"While no agent is required to view homes on Trulia, it would be wise to contact a local agent to assist you in the homebuying process once you are ready to start looking. (for instance, if you are looking in Savannah, Ga, you might want to contact Mike Farmer at Mike Farmer Realty - www.MikeFarmerRealty.com)"
That would clear things up.
What about something like this:

I have 13 years experience in the Savannah Ga market. I have averaged closing 35 transactions a year. I specialize in online marketing of buyers, while also utilizing tradtional methods that work. The first 4 and a half years in the industry I worked as an exclusive buyer agent so I know the needs of buyers and how to make deal work.
I have worked the whole area, covering Chatham, Bryan and Effingham Counties, and I stay on top of market trends in all areas. My expertise lies in specialized knowledge that allows me to be flexible and creative in brokering transactions, holding them together from beginning to closing.
Yes! That'll work -- now if I can get all the listing aggregators to broadcast this in the Savannah area, I'll be on to something -- I'm glad you posted that, I see a typo.

Trulia wants agent's listing content to display on their site.
So you send it to them
Yet when they display it they tell the consumer NO AGENT REQUIRED!

The consumer can go it on their own in Hawaii, but I don't recommend it. Hawaii is the only part of the union that has part of it law coming from a monarchy other than the British Empire.

Go with your gut instinct. Don’t rush into anything. Walk away. Due your own due diligence even when the agent does it for
you. Build relationships, then when someone says ‘trust’ it holds more weight.
Enjoy your blog and site - keep it up.
