A good night's sleep and a beautiful day ahead and a Homegain lead

connections.jpgI feel refreshed this morning. I need to be because I am going to meet my first really serious Homegain lead (that along with 50 other things I have to accomplish today). I told Louis I would try Homegain for a few months and report on how it works for me. I have had several serious inquiries and today I will most likely list a $250,000 home.

So far the results have been mixed -- a lot of curious Georges and Georgettes who want to know what their house is worth, but a few serious candidates mixed in. The support from Homegain has been good -- everyone is helpful.

Homegain has a good system going and I can see where it will be helpful for agents to supplement their marketing plan. I also have a Homegain ad on my site so you will all take this with a grain of salt, but I doubt the ad will make me rich, so I'm reporting straight however you take it.

In spite of all my railing yesterday, if companies have something useful to offer agents, then good. Homegain is trying to be a fair player and seems to repect agents and what they do. For agents who have no idea how to get started online, Homegain offers a great starter package. For people like me who are already doing 80% of their business online, it appears to be a great supplement. I will eventually turn it over to a new agent who will follow through, because I don't have the time to manage it properly, but I can see it bringing in extra revenue.

The listing presentation went well -- they presently are listed with a Re/Max office but want to change.
