Okay, by God, that's enough! Gas costs are too damn high!
Friday, June 6, 2008 at 04:52PM When are we going to say enough is enough? I can't believe we've all sat by and allowed our country to become slaves to other countries' oil prices, or speculators. If we had started drilling at home years ago we wouldn't be having these problems. If we had started seriously developing alternative energy sources years ago, we wouldn't be paying $80 dollars a tankfull.
I'm sick of our energy policy and our restrictions on drilling. It makes no sense. And, as real estate agents, it's affecting our bottom line. I hate to sound self-serving, and I would be this mad if I didn't work in real estate, but dammit we have to speak up some time. I'm all for rational environmental concerns, but drilling in tiny spots around the country is NOT going to destroy the environment. We now have China drilling off our coasts, but we can't.
It's irrational and self-destructive to not drill for oil in this country.
Get politics out of oil.
