This site is about libertarian ideas, politics, economics, government, freedom, property rights, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

Cool, let's just save that money and move forward

It seems to me that this is where time and energy should be spent. Eliminate the waste, look at all regulations which contribute to waste and rescind the ones that do contribute to waste, reform fraud in Medicare, implement tort reform with teeth, open up insurance sales across state lines and then see where healthcare goes from there.

Of course, the above article is making a case for how to pay for healthcare reform coming out of congress, but why screw up the whole system with one of those plans, which would be fraught with its own new forms waste and fraud -- just eliminate the waste and make insurance affordable.
