This site is about libertarian ideas, politics, economics, government, freedom, property rights, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

The 6 trillion dollar healthcare plan

    http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2009/11/27/obamacares-cost-could-top-6-trillion/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Cato-at-liberty+%28Cato+at+Liberty%29&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher

In our statist world of a separate political reality, science, economics and math are transformed for the greater good -- cool is warm, theft is mandate and 6 trillion is just a little under 1 trillion. In the Information Age politicians are asking the American people to believe lies so large that it boggles the imagination -- it's like being in a Kafka novel. In the Information Age people can access information with more ease than ever before, yet you would think we're in early 20th century Russia, or present day North Korea.

This goes beyond political lies to cover up sexual piccadilloes, or bribes taken from lobbyists in trenchcoats -- this is an attempt to change reality and substitute it with statist lies. This amounts to treason. The progressive movement, bureaucrats, the media, the President and congress are all complicit -- they are active participants in The Big Lie to the American people about something that could collapse our government and cause massive, long-lasting unemployment, and something, in fact, which threatens our national security.

We are past simple disagreement over policies, and this is one reason why I've beaten the drum over and over about statism, along with many others -- we can see what's going on -- we can add -- we can use reason -- we can see with our own eyes -- we can access information. The amount of money we will owe in 10-20 years, counting the unfunded mandates, will be so overwhelming that it will swallow all production and leave the country in chains.

What's going on in government calls for a change in government, because government is no longer representing the people and is no longer protecting individual rights. Government is no longer adhering to the Constitution or abiding by the philosophy of the Declaration of Independence. Government is purposefully lying to and harming the American people.

Once there is total statism, and capitalism is no longer functional, a country is under the control of its government and liberty is a mere word, no longer a reality. Our government is not legitimate -- it's a rogue government bent on destroying everything that makes America America.
