I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

    The Senate will kill it

With the vote on the cap and trade bill being so close, the Senate will likely kill it. 8 Republicans sold out like cowards, and 50 Democrats showed how bad the bill really is -- the 50 Dems could have gone along, but they didn't.

The ONLY purpose of this bill, just like the health care bill and just like 75 years of education police (regulations) in America, is to control human behavior. That's IT. Control the number and characterization of people's employment. Control what they produce. Control what portion of the result of their own production (ie, their income) they must allocate toward different goods and services (ie, higher for unionized monopoly energy industries run by the government). Control who can get jobs in the first place.

Obama is a true disciple of Karl Marx. Marx understood that if you could control everything about the way a person earns a living and even whether he could at all, you could control ever facet of his life.

This guy is seriously over-playing his hand. I just hope he doesn't do too much damage before he's stopped.
