    Romney in 2012?

I continue to read reports which have Mitt Romney in the lead for the Republican nomination to run against Obama in 2012. Romney can probably win, but he's not the best choice. I might be pleasantly surprised by his performance if he's elected, but I have concerns about his creation of Romneycare in Mass. Romney will have no credibility when he tries, if he tries, to overturn Obamacare, and it will be a big distraction in the election -- the Dems will use it as a sign of hypocrisy, even if Romney sticks to his standard reply that healthcare should be left up to the states -- that his plan is a state plan and Obamacare is a national plan. Violating the Constitution is just as bad on the state level as it is on the national level (the Dems will hardly use this line, but libertarians will).

One good thing about Romney is that he has business experience, but I don't think his support for a free market is solid. He'll be much better than Obama, but not as good as Gary Johnson.
