Any conservative who has supported individual mandates in the past but now oppose them in the case of Obamacare is a hypocrite, unless they became enlightened regarding our basic rights -- however, Klein is wrong when it comes to the actual issue -- it's not simply a battle between conservatives and progressives. Plus, this is not a tax, as Klein calls it. The federal government has no Consititutional authority to force us to purchase insurance, just as they had no Constitutional authority to create Medicare and Social Security then force us to pay into it. Regardless of how the government has violated the Constitution in the past -- those past violations don' justify further violations, and instead of continuing Consitiutional violations, we should be rolling back the prior violations just like we're atempting to do with the individual mandate in the healthcare law. But, in agreement with Klein. if any conservative favors one form of violation but not another, then that conservative is definitely a hypocrite, just as any liberal or progressive who stands on a soapbox regarding some Constitutional violations but campaign their hearts out for other violations, even to the point of perpetual spin like Klein.
