    What this site's about

This site is about libertarian ideas, politics, economics, government, freedom, property rights, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

Liberals and Libertarians, sitting in a tree,....

    http://www.juliansanchez.com/2010/07/14/libertarian-coalitions/

I don't think there can be an alliance between liberals and libertarians until modern liberals change their mind about statism, social engineering, economic intervention/planing and coercion -- otherwise, it's a natural alliance, both being socially liberal and realizing, as an example, the futility of the war on drugs.

But the statist mindset is a huge barrier. If liberals would become more open to alternative free market solutions to many of our common problems, we could be k-i-s-s-i-n-g in no time. In other words, if liberals were more liberal, we'd have no problem.
