    What this site's about

This site is about libertarian ideas, politics, economics, government, freedom, property rights, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

    Voting your conscience

Whatever happened to voting your conscience? When did it become necessary to vote according to predictions of political strategists?

According to political strategists, voters are supposed to find out from the strategists who has a chance to win in the general election, then vote for that person in the primary, even if you prefer the other primary candidate. Does this make sense? How many times have political strategists and polls been wrong, and when did local voting become totally a group effort based on political strategy cooked up by a few people in Washington D.C.?

It seems to me this type of interference will give skewed results and that voters will be too influenced by "experts". I say vote for who you want to win and let the cards fall as they may.
