    What this site's about

This site is about libertarian ideas, politics, economics, government, freedom, property rights, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

In contrast to Hu Jintao's visit

These types of incidents reflect what lies beneath China's praised economic prowess. If a young woman can be sentenced to a year in a labor camp for such a harmless action, just think to what happens o anyone practicing any amount of free-thought or critical analysis of the Chinese government. Here in America we ought to be praising the freedom to dissent rather than demonizing dissent as dangerous "anti-government" rhetoric.

A country like China, no matter how productive and efficient in short term economic matters can never succeed long term in any meaningful sense of the word "succeed" without freedom of expression and dissent.
