Morning Joe 4/28/2011 -- Birth certificates

I love how the media gave the birthers coverage to begin with to smear the Right, then brought the subject up with Trump, and when they saw he had doubts, they jumped all over the subject and implied it's a Republican position, then now on Morning Joe it's all of a sudden a silly topic that doesn't deserve coverage, yet most of the first part of Morning Joe was about the birther/Trump controversy.

There was a short discussion with Bob Woodward regarding Petraeus going to the CIA and Leon Panetta going to the Pentagon. Woodward praised Petraeus and Pannetta for their pragmatism, and said that Obama wants to get out of Afghanistan and wants to go forward with covert operations that can't easily be seen, are less expensive and don't require a lot of troops.

I understand that government needs to ability to keep secrets and perform covert operations, and all we can do is rely on our representatives in congress to provide oversight, but if congress's response to Libya is any indication, I don't feel good about more secrecy and covert operations.
