    Shaking up the Media Show

Maintstream Media have inserted themselves into the Republican contest for the nominee to run against Barack Obama in ways unseen before. It's not only what they've done and said, but what they're not doing and saying. Ron Paul is practically ignored by all major media sources. Neil Cavuto on Fox is about the only media personality giving Paul any attention at all, yet, Paul is drawing bigger crowds in SC than the other candidates, and in polls showing which candidates would be competitive against Obama, Romney and Paul are the two who can win according to the results.

Media sources are now building up Gingrich, of all people, and repeating over and over that Romney has screwed the pooch this week regarding taxes. I'm a Paul supporter, but the way media is treating Romney is typical of our corrupt media when it comes to politics. I've watched Romney's reponses to the tax questions, and he has answered them as well as he has answered all other questions. I feel like I'm from another planet when I watch news programs and listen to the spin. I think Romney's camp knows exactly what it's doing, and I believe Romney is slowly becoming an anti-statist as a result of this process. I think when Romney and his team finally decide to release tax information, it will reveal nothing but that Romney has made a lot of money and has given a hell of a lot of it to charity, and all the Leftist, anti-capitalist jabber will look out of touch. Romney is personally experiencing the difference between the political madness emanating from DC and the world of private sector enterprise from which he came, and I believe this experience will have a profound effect on his view of the political realm and how it's out of control.

Gingrich is even joining in on the phony controversy of the 15% tax rate, which shows us that Gingrich is a political animal with no principles who cares only about winning and gaining power. The conservative support for Gingrich, the little there has been, is indicative of how dangerous it is to make judgements on emotion. Upon calm reflection, Newt Gingrich is a bloated Napoleon who knows how to rile up an audience, but lacks the depth of character and principled consistency to lead.

I believe the stars favor Romney, and, while I have concerns, at this point, if I can't have Paul, Romney will do just fine. I think there's more depth to Romney than most people realize. I see Romney as a person who can rise to a challenge. We need someone who can rise to the challenge of truly opposing statism and fixing the mismanagement of our military. I believe Romney's past flip-flops were part of his evolution, even though, as with all politicians, some of his positions are based on political expediency. He's level-headed, but he needs a philosophical awakening -- he may be experiencing this awakening.

I know that Romney won't do it, but I believe he should look to Ron Paul as his VP pick. We would have a combination of efficient management/downsizing and a solid philosophical base to start the transition from rampant statism to limted government and economic freedom. I know this is crazy to imagine, but we need radical action.

I also predict that Paul will do much better than anyone imagines he will do in SC.
