    Israel and Hamas

It appears that since Egypt can no longer keep Hamas under control there will be war. Let's hope this doesn't spread regionally drawing the US into the battle. From all I can tell Israel is justified in defending herself. There must be some mideast countries which step in and call for peace, taking the place of Egypt to control Hamas. A widespread war is good for no one in the mideast. It makes no sense that Hamas be allowed to establish some phony power position at the expense of so many lives, as many of the deaths will be innocents, not soldiers. The Muslim Brotherhood will bear responsibility if this conflict spreads, showing that they are not moderate as so many on the Left and in the mideast Islamist communities have tried to convince us.
