    Unintended consequences of interventionist governments

    Read the above link regarding wind energy subsidies, then realize that this is only one example of myriad unintended consequences from interventions made by governments across the globe.

    Then imagine what type of world we might enjoy if governments didn't intervene in economic matters, but only protected people from violation of basic rights. Yes, it's a simplification of a complex issue, but what if the world moved in this direction? Just imagine.
