Morning Joe 3/30/2012 -- When spin no longer works
Friday, March 30, 2012 at 07:37AM On Morning Joe today for the first hour and a half, the guests were Mark Halperin, Jonathan Capehart, Lawrence O'Donnell and Eugene Robinson. This show is run like a failing government program -- they just keep on doing the same things, no innovation, just the same old things, over and over. I still watch it because it's a microcosm of the political class in general and the Left in particular. Joe Scarborough is supposed to be MSNBC's fair and balanced effort, but Scarborough has spent way too much times with liberals and progressives. There are good reasons why Morning Joe is way behind Fox and Friends in the ratings, and one is that it's painful to watch these unproductive blowhards sit back and take potshots at those who are actually in the game attempting to do something productive. It would be much easier to take if the smears were intelligent, satirical assessments which enlightened the viewer, but they aren't intelligent, just petty and silly.
Each morning they've attacked Romney for the silliest of reasons, until it's reached the point of Come on, Man! This morning they were showing polls of Obama beating Romney and Santorum in swing states, The polls were the reverse of the polls about a week ago. Has the public changed that much in a week? No. The polls can't be trusted any more than the analyses from these partisan pundits. Although the Left loves to make fun of anyone who calls the MSM on their bias, the bias is getting worse -- it's to the point now that there's no longer any pretense of fairness. This election year will be looked back on as the year of the MSM's final demise. It's over. The spin and propaganda no longer work. The results of the 2012 election will be far different than what's forecasted, because the spin no longer works. There are a lot of liberals who are decent people who will be tarred by the shenanigans of this presidential race -- they should start protecting their reputations now before it's too late. Blind support for the Democratic Party and blind opposition to Republicans are not advisable this year. The Democrat Party is being propped up by a media which is falling apart. If you're going to hitch your wagon to a star, make sure it's not a falling star.
