    Romney makes bold move, but...

It's only the beginning. Paul Ryan fell short of developing the radical budget we need, yet the Left still smears Ryan as a Granny-Killer. If Romney picks Ryan only to back down when the smear campaign heats up, then his VP choice will be wasted.

Romney must stand firm and double down, calling on Congress to take Ryan's budget as a bare beginning. Entitlements require innovative actions to involve the private sector in the development of emergency/safety net , healthcare and retirement solutions. Government has failed by creating a welfare/warfare statist system which is falling apart because its basic concept is unworkable. Just as Obama removed the insistence that welfare recipients work, so does government always give and give and give with no psycho-social-economic understanding of the unintended consequences. Government is operating by political means, and politicians worry about reelection and maintenance of power. Perhaps, if Romney and Ryan lead a real revolution, we can return to private sector economic solutions and stop the downhill slide. Stand tall and firm Governor.
