Morning Joe 8/22/2012 -- Destroying Ryan

On Morning Joe today the crew continued their campaign to destroy Paul Ryan by associating Ryan with Todd Akin. The crew had their daily polls to show that the country thinks Obama has screwed the pooch with the economy, but they like him better than Romney, of course.

Republicans are opening themselves up to attack through a continuance of legislative attempts to implement their social agenda. Nothing is going to change on abortion, so I don't know why they are bogging down in social issues at this point. But most of the country favors restrictions on abortions, so I guess the GOP knows what it's doing.

It seems to me though, that economic issues should be front and center, along with the issue of the Afghanistan War. The economic issues are obvious, but the country still doesn't understand the danger of the mideast interventions. The White House is ramping up talk regarding bombing Assad. I said a while back that Obama will likely make a political move in Syria, make up a good reason to attack, then start the bombing strategicallly before the election. Romney and Ryan must get out ahead on this. Young Americans are dying needlessly in Afghanistan, yet the media is all abuzz over Todd Akin because he fumbled his message to an interviewer. America is in decline -- this is the type of fiddling nonsense that went on in Rome as it burned.
