    American people react

It appears that the Information Age, which has just started taking effect this election season, has created something which is confounding the Left. For a long time the Left could start a smear campaign, or push a piece of propaganda, and with the help of media they influenced public opinion. Now, the smear campaigns and propaganda appear to work for a short time, then once information is put forth to refute the smear campaign and propaganda, there's a shift in public opinion, and the Left is taking it on the chin over and over.

The most recent example is the Democrat/media manufactured War on Women. This has backfired on the Left, and what should have been a 24 story regarding Hilary Rosen's comment disparaging Ann Romney for being a stay at home mom is now becoming a prolonged backlash against those who think smearing and lying are substitutes for intellectual content.

Hilary Rosen: Angry loudmouth or liberal hit-woman?

Another problem with liberals is rank hypocrisy. While liberals praise their own women who go through hard times, when it comes to successful Republican women who've overcome obstacles, liberals are vicious in their attacks. The strong GOP women who arose around 2012, Nikki Haley, Michelle Bachmann, Meg Whitman and others were savaged by liberal media and liberal operatives for the Democrat Party.

Ann Romney is a woman to be admired, yet Hilary Rosen said she's never worked a day in her life and implied she doesn't know anything about real life. This should be an easy one for both sides to condemn, and some liberals have said they don't agree with Rosen, but this is nothing new -- ask Sarah Palin.

Politics should not infect every area of our lives, and it seems that women should praise female success and strength wherever it happens. I could never understand the Left's hatred of Ayn Rand. Yes, I can see where liberals would disagree with her ideas, but she represents everything feminists admire in other women -- strong, intelligent, independent, successful. I don't get the anger and rage.

Morning Joe 4/3/2012 -- Ann Romney said unzip, tee hee

On Morning Joe today, Spanky Scarborough and the Gang giggled up a storm over Ann Romney's response to a question from an interviewer regarding her husband's stiffness. She said unzipping the  real Mitt might help, that he's actually a fun person. Adolescents and tv hosts find it funny when a word like unzip is used because it can mean unzipping his pants -- get it? Man, that's funny.

The inanity on Morning Joe and in the political realm knows no bounds. I couldn't watch much of the show this morning, but what I watched was pathetic. More Romney bashing, with Scarborough wondering once again what might happen if Santorum wins -- this time he's wondering about today's Wisconsin primary. The crew was also concerned that Romney doesn't know how to talk about his wealth, that he's too honest about what he owns and who he knows. Then, when Romney tries to be just one of the guys, he's too phony. So far, no matter how Romney has been, it's too this or that. The truth is that Romney has been himself, dealing with the media's 24/7 attempts to destroy him, and Romney has done better surviving this media blitz than anyone commenting on him and better than the rest of the candidates. If Obama had to go through what Romney is going through, he wouldn't survive. Fair is fair, and the MSM is being totally unfair to Romney.

The political class, as represented by the guests who run through Morning Joe, has no idea what to discuss regarding the race for President -- their guy, Obama, is in big trouble, so all they can do is criticze his opponent, Romney, but they are becoming so weird in their criticisms -- laughing at Ann Romney because she said unzip -- that it's a circus of buffoonery. It makes Romney look like the only grownup in the room, with the Morning Joe crowd as a bunch of braindead potheads sitting about making fart noises.
