Obama's Carter Syndrome

As Obama infuriates the Right and diappoints the Left, and portrays weakness to independents, his popularity is slipping. Failing to take a strong leadership position on the deficits and debt and entitlements, and by pushing stubbornly ahead on Obamacare while giving exceptions to over 1000 companies, including unions, and by backing the public unions in Wisconsin without presenting an objective concern about state finances, the public might be losing confidence in his presidency. Also, Obama's energy policy is non-existent, while gas prices go higher, and his foreign policy performance has revealed indecision and a failure to defend principles of freedom and limited government power. The misery index is not being used, but there's enough real misery to get the public's attention and demand real "change and hope".
