Here we go! Get ready for the Statist-Care ride

I will no longer call it Obamacare or PPACA, because this mess will be around long after Obama is gone, and PPACA is too benign, so I will call it Statist-Care.

Follow the link and read at Cato the manipulations already by the IRS as they try to fix parts of what's wrong with the law -- these tweaks and manipulations will likely go on for a long time as those negatively effected by Statist-Care attempt to dodge the damage.

This government-generated hot mess will create even more uncertainty in the market as the Left demands the law be forced on everyone by any means necessary. The penalties will be stiffer and stiffer, and the enforcement will be stronger and stronger. America is going to get a taste of State power as Statist-Care is gradually implemented. Welcome to a Brave New America.

Morning Joe 7/12/2012 -- Political atrophy

On Morning Joe you can often witness the political realm in all it's decaying glory. Statists of all stripes are busily attempting to save and rebuild the political realm -- tv shows, movies, books, people like Joe Scarborough and John Meacham praising LBJ and FDR for their political prowess, leaving out the aspects that made them horrible indivdiuals unrepresentative of the best of America.

There's a faction of people fascinated by power, and Scarborough seems to believe that most people are awed by political power, and as long as a President is getting things done, people will follow like sheep. It doesn't matter that PPACA is another entitlement which will explode costs to taxpayers, just like Medicare and Medicaid exploded in costs, when Roberts helped the progressives give their stamp of approval to PPACA, the public swooned over Obama's power play and they are now throroughly seduced. This is how statist think -- it's all from a political perspective.

The crew on Morning Joe, Steve Rattner, John Meacham, Dee Dee Myers, Margaret Carlson and other Leftists, discussed Romney's NAACP speech, talked about healthcare and taxes, and then basically discussed the power of politics and how political perception trumps economics. America's political class is imploding. There are very few deep thinkers in politics presently. As they advertised a new TV program called Political Animals, the crew appeared to accept this as the glory of politics -- the games and lies. It's sad really.

It does matter that PPACA is a government white elephant, and the public will crucify all politicians closely associated with it, once the consequences are clear. There are many educated people in the private realm who disdain the political realm and are not impressed at all by games -- these people in the private realm far outnumber those in the political realm getting their jollies on propaganda and statist power-mongering. Americans, for the most part, want government to get out of their way. Romney was right when he told the NAACP that he will be better for the economy and their job prospects than Obama, because skin color doesn't matter except in politics.

Up with Chris Hayes 7/8/2012 -- Healthcare and Romney's Cayman accounts

On Up with Chris Hayes, two of the topics were PPACA and Romney's Cayman accounts, which led to a discussion regarding taxes. At least today, Hayes admitted to his guests that he believes that conservatives on the Right really have convinced themselves that their ideas like cutting taxes and repealing healthcare are correct ideas. Hayes' Progressive guests were not so understanding -- they believe the Right is simply against Obama. It's really amazing that the Left is so obsessed with Obama that they can't imagine anyone disagreeing with his views out of sincere ideological differences -- they have to be racists or simply partisan hacks out to destroy him. Hayes said that he believes these strange creatures on the Right actually believe what they are promoting. But, according to Hayes, they are terribly wrong.

Hayes even had one of the strange creatures on the show, Steve Moore. Hayes and Moore argued awhile about tax evasion, a flat tax and other conflicts between Left and Right that never get resolved. Hayes and his little Progressive crew were trying to frame Romney as a tax dodger, and how this is very unpresidential, as if Romney is the only person ever running for President who has used the tax code to reduce what he owes in taxes. Plus, Hayes has no information on Romney's Cayman accounts, so it's all just guessing and assumptions at this point. Hayes told Moore that even though the corporate tax rate is higher in the US than in other developed nations, the taxes aren't collected. That's only partly true, because small business don't have the ability to hire expensive attorneys to manuever the byzantine tax code. Hayes is always defending Government against anti-statists who want to limit government power, so it's funny that Hayes is identifying tax evasion problems that are created and allowed by government and which help the most powerful corporations. Hayes wants to blame tax evasion on private sector enterprise and rich bastards, when in reality, just the top companies have been favored by government to enjoy the breaks government put in the tax code. Small businesses are being placed at an unfair disadvantage -- this is how government operates. Hayes didn't blame government, not did he have any criticism to level against Obama for not pushing total tax reform, so that rates can be lowered and more revenue collected. Hayes is obviously like Obama, they prefer the higher rates even though they bring in less revenue. Strange.

As for the PPACA controversy, Hayes and his Progressive pals laughed at the end of the show, as Hayes said that he applauds the controversy, because it takes focus off the economy, and as a Democrat that's a good thing -- cynical partisanship, that's what Hayes represents, not fair and objective analysis of the news. At least he's honest about his biased and unfair reporting.

PPACA and why Roberts' decision means nothing but capitulation

Pundits are working overtime explaining how Roberts cleverly cut the baby in two, and how his decision will affect other cases going forward. We've reached a point of government interventionism that allows government to do what it thinks it can get by with politically, and the court is impotent in the face of the interventionism -- Roberts said it himself. Roberts said the court's duty is not to save the public from bad political choices, so the Chief Justice is basically saying that any intervention can be justified, if you look hard enough for the justification, so you have to elect better politicians if you are unhappy with congress and the President.

The problem is not so much with the representatives as it is with the system, and the system is not up for change by an election. The bureacracy and the programs are firmly in place in our statist system, and dealing with the mandate is dealing with a symptomatic problem with symptomatic solutions, not with fundamental problems and fundamental solutions. The system has to be changed and at this point it will require another revolution. Not a violent revolution, but a revolution of honest dissent, peaceful disobedience and nullification through individual state actions regarding rights violating interventions by federal government. The present statist system has to be rejected, and the consent for interventionist governments to govern must be removed. Nothing short of this revolution will work.

    The ACA debate

It's starting in earnest now. It's amazing to read the liberal reactions. The Left has no qualms with government telling us what we can and can't do regarding healthcare. They appear to see healthcare as a public good provided by government that somehow got out of whack when government allowed too many private insurance plans without enough regulation and control by government. Did you know that people were getting all kinds of extravagant treatment covered? The Left now wants government to manage coverage and treatment so that there's enough healthcare to go around.

PPACA, if it's enacted, is one last government fling before the collapse. This is the Entitlement Mother of all Entitlment Mothers. We, the country as we know  it, might not even last long enough to experience the damage of the total interventions, because companies are just not going to hire until they know what their costs will be, and the confusion of PPACA is just starting. Maybe we need a reset -- it seems to be coming whether we need it or not.
