Glenn Beck 4/5/2011 -- unions/government/corporations
Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 05:58PM Beck said it himself -- it's getting boring. It's either Soros, Van Jones, Socialist groups linking arms with unions or more connections being made to a global New World Order -- just the usual.
To start with, Beck tipped his hat to Paul Ryan for coming forth with what is considered a serious effort to cut government spending. Then Beck revealed more plans on the Left to continue their Revolution. The connections between unions, the American Left, radical Islamists and socialist groups of all stripes all lead to what we've described here, and Beck has described, as anti-capitalism -- an end to western values.
Radicals like Francis Fox Pivens and Van Jones believe that an American revolution will end capitalism and bring about an American-style socialism which will cooperate with other nations in a global revolution to turn the tables on the wealthy and powerful and redistribute the wealth. The only snag (well, not the only) is the problem Stalin and Mao and others had -- you can't force producers to produce. At some point when you begin "eating the rich" the rich rebel, then there's no money to redistribute. This is basic, and no one thinks it will happen, but it has, and it will again.
What the left doesn't realize, or won't realize because they crave power, is that any system has to protect production, property rights, individual rights in general and the rule of law. Yes, the power players are out of control, but the State power players are leading the way. It's not as simple as putting radicals into government positions, like Samantha Powers, because State power craves power for the sake of power, not to help the powerless gain power. The State will hand out as much as it can hand out, but the State is not into handing out power and freedom. Beck is the only popular, influential tv host who is bringing the Left's madness to the forefront. This has to change.
