First big challenge for Republicans

It appears if the tax cut compromise is passed there will be "sweeteners" thrown in -- otherwise known as ear marks, pork, the stuff to which Republicans say they are putting an end. I don't want to hear anything about the greater good, or they were forced to accept the sweeteners. Rather than load this down with pork to buy votes, Republicans should do the opposite of what the moderates would do -- act on principle and kill the deal, then pass the legislation when they are in power.
