Julia reflects two different worlds

The negative reaction to the administration's campaign video, The Life of Julia, even from liberals, shows an administration out of touch with the American people. Obama and those surrounding him truly believe that many dependent voters are waiting anxiously for Obama to attain the power to push through government programs which address their every need from childhood to old age.
I've been wondering for some time when the rhetoric of Obama and his supporters would eventually sink in to people. When Obama talks about America's economic system failing except during the era of FDR and his own presidency, and when Obama talks about government as if its true purpose is to take care of all Americans except the uber-rich, it gets weird for Americans who, even though steeped in the welfare state, still expect to make their way. Those in the Tea Party whom the Left ridiculed for cautioning Obama, regarding Medicare cuts in Obamacare, to keep his hands off Medicare, said this because most of them started working and paying into the system, which was designed to support Medicare, from the age of 17 and 18, and now they are 65 and over and they're saying they want the promises delivered since they did their part and paid in on a regular basis for 45 to 55 years or so.
However, government spent all that money and more and now government has made promises it can't keep, yet Obama is making videos about some ficticious woman named Julia who is helped by government from childhood to old age as if this is the American Dream. The video is so out of touch with reality, one has to wonder what country the administration thinks it was elected to serve.
