    What this site's about

This site is about libertarian ideas, politics, economics, government, freedom, property rights, entrepreneurship, innovation, objectivty and other such stuff important to humans. I uphold libertarian principles and believe wholeheartedly in minimal government, or no government if it would work -- this blog explains why.

    Yes, yes, yes

    http://tibormachan.rationalreview.com/2012/07/another-plea-for-more-statism/

Tibor Machan has written a good article articulating why statist coercion is something we should forbid except under extreme emergency situations, not justify.

    Tibor Machan on Left-Libertarianism

    http://tibormachan.rationalreview.com/2012/05/machans-archives-left-libertarianism-oxymoron/

I'm not the only one who thinks Left-Libertarianism is incoherent, confusing and possibly an oxymoron. Sort of like an unfaithful-monogamist.

    Machan quoting Orwell

    http://tibormachan.rationalreview.com/2011/09/couple-of-fine-lines-from-george-orwell/

The Left loves to claim Orwell, but it wasn't always mutual.

Tibor Machan on Ron Paul, compassion and welfare

    http://tibormachan.rationalreview.com/2011/09/column-on-welfare-statism-and-compassion/

Machan is one of my favorite libertarian thinkers. There's a difference between being forced to act as government social engineers believe is compassionate and voluntarily acting compassionately - a big difference.

Don Boudreaux on Fukuyama's review of Hayek

    http://cafehayek.com/2011/05/i-want-plans-by-the-many-not-by-the-few.html

Francis Fukuyama is an example of a statist on the Right who merely gives lip service to Constitutional principles, not much different from the modern liberal statist who constantly denigrates free enterprise, limited government and individualism. Also follow Boudreaux's link to Tibor Machan's response to Fukuyama.
