When, at the end his rally, Stewart said people work together to get things done every damn day, except in government, he was right on the mark, but he draws the wrong conclusion. Actually, people in government work together to get things done, but the less they do the better.
The point of transitioning from political means to economic means to get things done is that the political means have gotten us to this point, and they are obstructing the economic means necessary for economic growth and full employment. What government needs to get done is to protect us and our freedoms and settle disputes.
So, Stewart is on the right track -- he just needs to think a little deeper.
